Review rules

Reviews are what clients rely on most when choosing someone, so every review comes with photo evidence, and we explain here how that evidence is used, who sees it, and how long it is kept.

Who can write a review

  • Clients who contacted the pro through Paidang can write one review after the shoot date (one review per enquiry).
  • Pros can add reviews from past clients (up to 5). These are labelled with their source (Instagram, Google, etc.).

Photo evidence

  • Each review needs at least one photo that shows a person and relates to the service, up to 6. For example a final photo, a behind-the-scenes shot, or a look after makeup.
  • On submission we automatically check whether a photo contains prohibited content and whether a person is visible. If none of the photos pass, the review is not published, and you can try again with other photos.
  • If the daily capacity for automated checks has been reached, the review shows as “under review” and is usually checked within a day, then published once it passes.
  • We read the capture time and device from the photo where available, only as a supporting signal: this information may be missing or altered and does not by itself prove a photo is genuine.

Public or private is your choice

  • You choose for each photo whether it is shown publicly. Photos are private by default.
  • Public photos are shown with the review on the pro’s profile.
  • Private photos are used only to verify the review: pros and other visitors never see them, only our review staff can view them in our admin tools, and they are deleted after at most 30 days. The review itself stays.
  • To have your photos deleted sooner, email contact@hipaidang.com.

What “Evidence verified” means

This is the only mark a review can carry: our staff have manually spot-checked the review’s photo evidence and it matches the service. It does not mean we have confirmed a booking, a payment or that the service was completed, or that we have checked every statement in the review. Platform and external reviews can receive it; external reviews still keep their original source label.

Reviews added by pros

  • Each one also needs at least one photo showing a real person from that client’s service.
  • The pro must confirm that the client has agreed to publish the review, and any photos marked public, on Paidang.
  • They keep their source label, may receive “Evidence verified” after our manual check, and are limited to 5.

Abuse and reports

  • We regularly check for abuse such as duplicate images, abnormal accounts and bursts of reviews.
  • If you see stolen work or fake reviews, use “Report” at the bottom of the pro’s profile. We check every report by hand; confirmed violations lead to content being removed and affect the pro’s standing. We never tell the pro who reported them.
  • Pros cannot delete or edit reviews written by clients, and a review is not removed just because the pro dislikes it.
