This Privacy Policy explains what personal information hipaidang.com and the Paidang application collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can manage your information.

What We Collect

• Account information: Email address, display name, language preference, and a hashed version of your password. We do not store passwords in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and a stable user identifier from Google.
• Professional profile information: Portfolio images, biography, city, pricing, and contact information you provide. Profiles, portfolio materials, biographies, cities, and pricing may be displayed publicly. WhatsApp numbers, WeChat IDs, WeChat QR codes, Instagram accounts, and Xiaohongshu accounts are not displayed publicly. WhatsApp and WeChat contact details are shown only to the customer who submitted an inquiry to you. Instagram and Xiaohongshu accounts are primarily used to verify portfolio sources and the authenticity of professional profiles.
• Publicly available information: If you provide us with an Instagram, Xiaohongshu, or other publicly accessible social media account, we may review publicly available information from that account to verify portfolio sources, account authenticity, or professional identity.
• Inquiry information: Information you submit about your service needs, such as the type of shoot or service requested, date, location, number of people, and additional notes. Information necessary to respond to your inquiry may be shared with the professional you select.
• Reviews and photo evidence: The reviews and ratings you write, and the photos you submit with them. Each review requires at least one photo that shows a person and relates to the service. You choose for each photo whether it is shown publicly: public photos are displayed with the review on the professional's profile; private photos are used only to verify the review and are not shown to the professional or other visitors. We also read the capture time and device from the photo where available (read in your browser and submitted with the photo), only as a supporting signal for verification. Photos submitted by professionals when adding reviews from past customers are handled under the same rules.
• Report information: The reason, description, and source link you submit in a report, together with your account information. We do not tell the reported professional who made the report.
• Ranking Boost and payment information: Payment amount, display name, message, anonymity preference, payment status, and payment provider order number. We do not access or store your full payment card number or Alipay account credentials. Such payment information is processed by our payment service providers.
• Technical and usage information: This may include your IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, and certain product interaction events. We use this information for security, rate limiting, and product analytics.
• Product analytics information: If PostHog is enabled, we may record how pages and features are used, including events such as professional card clicks, profile visits, contact button interactions, inquiry submissions, and WhatsApp opens. PostHog may also generate anonymous or device-related identifiers to distinguish visits and analyze product usage.
• Content safety review information: If automated content moderation is enabled, we may send certain text content and related images you submit to OpenAI's content moderation services to identify spam, unlawful content, or other inappropriate material. This functionality is used for safety review and is not used to generate user content or search results.

Why We Collect This Information

We use this information to:

• Provide the Services, including account login, displaying professional profiles, sending inquiries, maintaining rankings, and processing payment status.
• Maintain platform security, including rate limiting, human verification, and preventing spam, ranking manipulation, fraud, and other abuse.
• Verify professional identity, portfolio sources, and account authenticity.
• Review text and image content submitted by users.
• Verify that reviews are genuine, check for abuse such as duplicate images, abnormal accounts, and bursts of reviews, and handle user reports.
• Understand how the product is used, identify issues, and improve Paidang.
• Comply with applicable legal, accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations.

Who We Share Data With

We only provide relevant information to third-party service providers to the extent necessary to operate the Services, including:

• Cloudflare: For website and API hosting, databases, image storage and processing, human verification, checking whether a person is visible in review photos using Workers AI, and related operational logs and metrics.
• Resend: For sending verification emails and service notifications.
• Alipay: Processes leaderboard payments and payment status.
• Google: For authentication when you choose to sign in using Google.
• PostHog: When product analytics are enabled, for analyzing product features and user interactions.
• OpenAI: When content moderation is enabled, for performing safety reviews of certain text and images submitted by users.
• Frankfurter.app: For obtaining currency exchange rate information.
• Professionals you select: They receive the information necessary to respond to your inquiry, together with your display name.

After you actively submit an inquiry to a professional, that professional may independently retain or process information you provide to them. Paidang cannot fully control how professionals handle information outside the platform. You should therefore consider what information you choose to provide when continuing communications through WhatsApp, WeChat, or other third-party channels.

We may also disclose relevant information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the platform and its users, including to:

• Respond to requests from courts, regulators, or other government authorities with lawful authority;
• Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or suspected unlawful activity;
• Enforce our Terms of Service or resolve disputes;
• Protect the lawful rights and safety of Paidang, our users, or others.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use personal information for third-party advertising.

Publicly Visible Information

Professional profiles, portfolio materials, biographies, cities, and pricing may be publicly displayed. WhatsApp numbers, WeChat IDs, WeChat QR codes, Instagram accounts, and Xiaohongshu accounts do not appear on public pages. WhatsApp and WeChat contact details are shown only to the customer who submitted the relevant inquiry.

Display names and messages associated with Ranking Boost entries may also be publicly visible. If you choose to remain anonymous, your name will not be publicly displayed, although the underlying record may still be retained for ranking statistics, payment reconciliation, and dispute resolution.

Please note that information published openly on the internet may be viewed, saved, copied, or redistributed by other users or third parties.

Content Moderation

To maintain platform safety, we may use automated tools to review text and images submitted by users.

Automated review may currently apply to inquiry content, professional names and biographies, package descriptions, user reviews, Ranking Boost display names and messages, and related portfolio or review images.

Automated moderation is used solely to identify potentially prohibited, spam-related, or unsafe content.

Review photos (including private ones) go through two further automated checks on submission: OpenAI's moderation service checks for prohibited content, and Cloudflare Workers AI checks whether a person is visible. Whether a photo relates to the service reviewed is judged by our review staff through manual spot checks. These checks are used only to verify reviews, not to train models, generate content, or rank results.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain platform security, and comply with legal or dispute-resolution obligations.

When you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify account information and publicly visible profile information.

Certain records may continue to be retained after account deletion, including:

• Inquiry and service records;
• Payment, refund, and dispute-related records;
• Anti-abuse and content moderation records;
• Security and operational logs;
• Information that must be retained for legal, accounting, or tax purposes;
• Information remaining temporarily in service provider backups pending routine deletion or backup rotation.

Deleting your account does not reverse payment amounts that have already been included in ranking statistics. Where applicable, however, we will remove display names and messages associated with your account.

How long we keep review photos:

• Private photos are kept for at most 30 days and then deleted automatically. The review itself remains after they are deleted.
• Public photos are kept with the review until the review is deleted or removed.
• Photos uploaded but never submitted are deleted automatically within about 1 day.
• You can contact us at any time to ask for the review photos you submitted to be deleted sooner.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.

Where we process information based on your consent, you may also withdraw that consent.

You may submit requests by contacting contact@hipaidang.com. We may need to verify your identity to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing or deleting your information.

We generally respond to requests within 30 days.

Cross-Border Processing

Some of the infrastructure and third-party services used by Paidang operate through global networks. As a result, your information may be stored or processed outside the country or region where you are located.

We handle cross-border data transfers in a reasonable manner in accordance with applicable law and the data protection measures provided by our service providers.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies or similar technologies where necessary to maintain login sessions, perform human verification, and support the normal operation of the Services.

If product analytics services such as PostHog are enabled, we may also use local storage, anonymous identifiers, or similar technologies to distinguish visits and analyze how the product is used.

We currently do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not engage in advertising targeted based on cross-site browsing behavior.

External Services

Paidang may provide links to WhatsApp, Instagram, Xiaohongshu, or other third-party services.

Once you leave Paidang and use those third-party services, your information will be processed according to the privacy policies of the relevant third-party providers.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication, rate limiting, and other security mechanisms.

Private review photos are stored in a separate location under random file names that cannot be guessed. They never appear on any public page and are not cached; within the platform, only authenticated review staff can view them in our admin tools.

However, no internet-based service can guarantee that data transmission or storage will be completely secure.

Minors

Paidang is currently intended for adults.

If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information in circumstances that do not comply with applicable requirements, we may close the relevant account and delete the associated information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Paidang's features, service providers, or legal requirements change.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the website, application, or another reasonable method. The effective or updated date shown at the top of this page will indicate the most recent version.
